1# Visitors to Canada - line graph

This line graph shows the numbers of Japanese and Spanish visitors coming from Canada in 1996 to 2006. This line graph shows locutions to visitors over 10 years.

   

  Starting in 1996 , there was a significant difference in the number of visitors from Spain to Canada. There were almost 300,000 Spanish visitors , compared to 850,000 Japanese visitors. The number of Spanish visitors to Canada in 1999 was higher at about 650000, but the Japanese was remain. Also , the numbers of Japanese was down in 2004 to about 590,000 but the Spain remained steady to higher. In 2006 the Spanish and Japanese visitors wew almost the same.

    In conclusion , the number of Japanese visitors Canada in 1996 to 2006 was more than Spanish during these years. And the number of visitors from Spain increased every year. However , the number of visitors from Japan increased then decreased.

2# Websites block - argument

   In the UAE , some websites are closed because of the religion and some websites show some bad things. This essay will examine the pros and cons of Etisalat blacking internet access to website.

  There are several arguments in favors of blocking internet access to websites. The first argument are the traditions of the state. The second argument is that some sites offer some policy matters that could affect the country relations with other countries and problem in the country. The last thing some websites are published by hackers with viruses because that must be blocked.

 However, there are many convincing arguments against blocking websites. The first point is the some people don’t have good behavior. The second point is that some websites damage the country and came some problem. The last point is some people love to publish some bad ideas and talk about some countries.

In conclusion , Etisalat did a good thing because in UAE there are some habits that nobody should have. And most children have laptop , so we must block some web sites.

3#Examinations at HCT - argument

In all colleges and Universities use Examinations. Some students don’t reading the benefit of the exams. They think exams are wasting time. This essay will explain both side of using exams.

   There are many reason why exam are good for the students and college. The first reason is that teacher can know level of the students. The second reason for testing it is a good way to determine what students have learned in the course. The last reason is exams will encourage students to work harder and will give the good feedback on their understanding of the subject.

    However, there are many convincing arguments against exams. The first point is students have too much subjects. For example, students can’t study very well for all subjects. The second point is that some exams are poorly written and are culturally biased against non-western students. For example, some exams written by western teachers for a western are biased and non-westerners will score lower due to this bins, the last point is some students have a fear of exams so they don’t do their best.

         In conclusion, the seams have two sides positive and negative side. In my opinion exam are good for students because it’s help them to improve their skills.

4#Personal Reflection

    I study in Abu Dhabi Means College, I learn in college many thing. The important point I benefit from my English course .In this essay  I going to write about the reading , writing and listening in this term and what these skills help me.

   This course was so hard for me because that I needed to study hard. During the course am doing more exercise and the teacher gave us more exercise because of that I improved. Now I can write better than before. However in the reading I can answer questions more than before. Moreover the teacher good and help all to give good mark. Now I happy because am pass in this course and the English course help me improve in another subject.

  In conclusion , I learned many things in this course and I increased my English language. My opinion if you study hard and do some practice you will benefit in your life  

5#The Accident in UAE - Argument

  Today the accidents in the UAE have increased, because some people drive angry, too much cars, speeding and women drivers. This problem requires serious action from both individuals and the government. In this essay I will write about causes and solution about this problem.

   Most people drive angry, because want to go home or jobs early. The some people like speeding, but the speed is dangers  and a cause of accidents. The increase in the cars in street is the big problem, because the car cases the traffic. The last problem is the women drivers, some women can’t drive will and are afraid during  driving, because that cause the accidents.

   There are several things that can be done about these problems. The first thing must renewal the rule. The second thing the parents must advise the children. The third thing is that to open new streets in the cites.

   In conclusion, there are several  things that can be done about the accidents and traffic. The government helps the people through good roods and rules to reduce accidents.

6#Working to Dubai - line graph

    The graph shows changes in the numbers of workers coming to Dubai between 1990 to 2006 . Overall the number of workers increased from UK and Canada.

    The workers coming from the UK are higher than from Canada by 50 thousand , in 1990 and increased in 1994 to 70 thousand. The workers from Canada started lower in 1990 and increase to 15000 in 1992. The biggest change in the graph from Canada was from 1992 to 2002 to about 90 thousand. There the a big decrease in UK workers from 1993 to 2000 by about 10 thousand workers but the workers from UK increased from 2000 to 2006 about 90 thousand. And Canada decrease in 2002 to 2004 by about 10 thousand , but increased in 2006 by about 90 thousand.

     In conclusion , the number of workers from UK and Canada in last 16 years increased. And both kept rising.

7#OBESITY (problem solution)

      Today, many people in the UAE hare obese because the diet, life style and education. This problem effects individuals and the governments trying to find the solution.

Most people who are obesity because the traditional foods were special ,but now we eat every day and eat too much fast food. Same people eat in Mc Donalds, KFC and Burger King everyday, and the traditional food like meat and rise every day is a problem. The second cause of obesity is the lifestyle, the people have more money because of that they spend on food in restaurant and young people can eat outside the home. The lifestyle like studying and working  make the people eat anything outside the home. The third reason is lack of knowledge about good eating habits and not enough awareness of good nutrition. Most people don’t have awareness about what to eat.

     There are several things that can be done about these problems. The parents and teachers must teach people the benefits of exercising in the home and school. Governments must encourage  people to eat at healthy restaurants in stead of fast food and the government has prepared places dedicated to play sport and the people should be play sports to less the obesity. The last thing educate people In a special class about eating right, especially children.

      In conclusion, there are several  things that the people can do it if they want to get rid of obesity. However, the government should teach people the benefits of exercising and encourage people to eat at healthy restaurants instead of fast food.

Information about 3 countries (table)

The table shows information about 3 countries , The United states , Canada and Mexico. The table shows these countries in terms  of population , language , land area in religion , literacy rate , unemployment rate and exports.

   First , the population in United States is largest  at 295,734,134 and the Canada and Mexico less than  United states with about 33 , 098,932 and 107,449,525. The language in United States is English and in Mexico , Spanish , but Canada has 2 languages English like US and French. The US has , biggest land area about 9,629,091. And  Canada has less and Mexico is last with 9,220,970 and  1,923,039 respectively . The literacy rate in US 97% and in Canada is same , but in Mexico is less  about 7 and 5.5 but in Mexico is 3.2. the exports from US has agricultural products and industrial supplies and automobiles but Canada exports motor vehicles, industrial, machinery , aircraft and telecommunications equipment. The exports in Mexico are manufactured goods ,silver , oil and vegetables.

  In conclusion , US has the largest area and population. All countries have different exports. Overall they are some similar in the literacy rate and language.

Spending on leisure products in the UK (pie charts)

     The two charts show spending on leisure products in the UK between 20-30 age group and the 50-40 age  group .Overall ,although they have spend the money  some things such as sports photography ,gardening and books, electronics is still the largest expenditure .

 

  

      The biggest things people like in  UK are the electronic   equipment and sports for 20-30 age group spend 41% and 20% respectively. And the 50-60 age group and from 38% and 5% respectively. However the books photography  and gardening the 20-30 age group liked about 16%,5% and 7% respectively. But the 50-60 age liked it but not same another group 28%,5%,16% respectively. Next ,the other hobbies the 20-30 age group spent 11%but the 50-60 spent 8%.

    In conclusion ,the 20-30 age group and 50-60 group spend money and time on the same things , the electronics  equipment  and books & magazine , but the  50 – 60 age group spend Spend 

The UAE marriage (effect +causes)

          Getting married used to be an easy arrangement in the UAE , nowadays, however it can be very expensive. To help solve this problem, the marriage fund organization was set up by the UAE government to help Emiratis get married and to try to reduce the number of marriages to non – nationals . This essay will describe why it was set up and how effective it has been.

    There are many reasons for the government decided to spend money on weddings in UAE. One reason the weddings in the UAE are expensive. If you marriage in UAE, pay will you about 200,000 DHS . They second reason that some people marry non- emirates this is big problem because the women stay without marring because of that the government helps us .The third reason is some Emiratis are  too old , but they not marred , some men about 40 years old  are not married because he don’t have money.

    There are many effects for the government’s decision to spend money on weddings in UAE, one effect for the government,  helps men to marry, to pay for weddings or give men money (about 70 thousand). The second effect is the young couple does not have to start out with a large loan because the government helps people to start a new life. The third effect are that more Emiratis men are marrying local women, and the number of marriages has gone up . The men marrying local women in the UAE society is increasing.

   In conclusion, this essay describes why the government helps Emiratis men and women to get married and how effective. This is people in the UAE should choose local women and the family should help the men to marry.

Fast food and the UAE (Effect + causes)

Before ten years ago parents and grandparents in the UAE used  to eat healthy food such as fish, bread and milk. People in the past was eating food with their families in the home. Now some traditions are changing, many people eat fast food, eat in restaurants and do not eat with a family. However, many people have changed to eat hamburgers and fried chicken. There are many reasons for changes in eating and the effect on society.

   There are many reasons for the popularity of fast food. The first reason is the change life style. Many people work late some days because of that they eat anything. And the women was working in the UAE. Another reason  is the many young people have money because of that they eat in restaurants. Yet another reason in the modern life the many things are changes and the modern life in the home like TV, internet and Satellite.

  However, this change in diet can have some serious effects. One effect is on health, many people in the UAE , are obese because are eat fast food. The second effect is the fast food will be a loss for your family and eat together in the home. The final effect , the fast food will be waste your money and the fast food is not expensive but the eating in the home is better and good.

  Finally, although fast food is quick and tasty, but it has effects on your health and traditions. People should learn to choose and eat good food.

Ghosts in desert

  


 Before two days I went with my friend in the desert. We prepare tents, food, bicycles. At 7:00 clock in the morning we moved to the desert.

     The first time in the desert we set up the tents and cook the breakfast. After that we playing with bicycles. At 11 am we started cooking the lunch food after that relaxed. At 4 pm my friend went to discover the some place in the desert and we back late. After sunset at 8 pm we 8 person every 2 person sleeping in one tent, but at 10 pm I heard stronger sound I went out but did see anything. 
  
   Moreover, I am back to  my tent, my friends slept . After 10 mantis the sounds the back but its high and with stones. My friends heads and we are all worried, but we couldn’t. After 10 mantis the sound stopped and we went out and we run. He who did movements the one of our friends, and went behind him and hit him.

    Finally, a trip to the desert its beautiful and has adventures. I liked going to desert and in my life once every month I go to desert.
